Taktisches Handeln ist das zentrales Geschick, das die Straßenhändler beweisen müssen um langsames Geld zu verdienen. |

English subtitles On central sites in Vienna, such as around the Imperial Palace Hofburg, in the Viennese Wurstelprater and in front of the Vienna State Opera Gunter Puller has been tracing persons who are attending their business under constantly varying conditions. They are the protagonists of the film “Slow Money”. In contrast to entrepreneurs owning business premises, these street traders and musicians are again and again confronted with new localities and situations to which they constantly have to adapt. Tactical action is the central talent that has to be demonstrated to earn slow money on the street. |

Dem natürlichen Zerfallsprozess spontan entzogen, kann nun durch künstlerische Mittel (Film/Video) die rasche Dekonstruktion von Statten gehen. Eine typische Technik die auch in Naturfilmen Anwendung findet – der Zeitraffer – wird eingesetzt. Das Telefonbuch „Yellow Pages“, steht für unser soziales, kulturelles und kommerzielles Leben. Ein Branchenverzeichnis in einem bewaldeten Teil einer Großstadt zu finden ist signifikant für unser Leben heute. |

Version I found the Yellow Pages in the wood during an excursion. I thought of the natural process of disintegration. I decided to take the phone book with me and deconstruct it in an artistic context. In a studio a copy of the Yellow Pages, found in the woods and falling apart, is filmed with a steady camera position. It is an artificial process of decay, filmed with a time-lapse photography, which is produced in the studio, which is faster than the natural one in the woods would have been. The Yellow Pages are taken as a symbol of our social, cultural and commercial life. To find such a book in the woods seems to be significant for our present life. |

| PAL | Ger/Eng Zu sehen ist die Anreise auf den Lido von Venedig. Am Strand angekommen, beginnt eine Person ein Feld abzustecken. Ein Absperrband begrenzt das Gebiet. Anschließend werden mit Schaufeln, Kübeln mehrere ca. 20 cm hohe Türme und Kuben gebaut. Die Bauwerke werden schließlich mit einem Stuckateureisen geglättet. Ein Vogelnetz wird schließlich über das Feld gespannt. All diese Tätigkeiten werden vollkommen ruhig und konzentriert ausgeführt. Jedoch handelt es sich dabei nicht um Performance, sondern um eine beinahe wissenschaftliche Dokumentation experimentellen Handelns. Die Person fügt hinzu und nimmt weg, hantiert mit Werkzeugen, baut auf, verputzt, glättet. |

The video refers to the area of tension between conservation and disaggregation, restoration and reorientation. All these activities are carried out completely quietly and in a concentrated way. However, it is a question in this case not of performance, but almost scientific documentation of experimental action. The person adds and removes, handles with tools, builds up, plasters, and polishes. |
